QUARTER HORSE MARES
We are proud to show you our beautiful mares. We have a wonderful selection who have all been chosen for their temperaments, conformation and bloodlines. Most of our QH mares have foundation breeding. Some were sourced in the UK from reputable breeders, others were imported from the USA. We also have one homebred Section III partbred QH mare producing foals by Tinsel KIng giving a less expensive option for those of you who aren't too worried about the papers. If you have any queries, please ask and we will do our best to help. All enquiries for our current crop of foals and other youngstock most welcome.
The mares are shown below with their offspring up to 2008 but for their current foals please see 2009 Foals.
We are reluctantly offering for sale the following mares to make way for homebred fillies:-
Seren Magie Joe
Dazzling Polka (partbred)
Both have outstanding pedigrees, temperaments and conformation as well as proven breeding records. See below for more details . Please enquire for more information if you are looking for a proven quality, young brood mare. Both could be covered by Tinsel King if required.
Purebred Quarter Horse Mares
Chipadee Reignlady (Queenie)

2001 sorrel mare by Zero Skipkeo ex April Workman. We bought Queenie as a yearling filly and she has proved to be everything a Quarter Horse should be - sensible, intelligent and a pleasure to handle with looks to match. She has produced one foal by Tinsel King with her last two being by Roslin Stud's Shiny Little Spark. All her foals so far have been fillies and as super as their dam. Queenie has now produced her 2009 foal, a sorrel colt by Tinsel King. Sale has now been agreed on Queenie. We hope Warren Marshall and his fiancee, Julie, will keep us informed of her future news.

Queenie's offspring include:-
Acorn Golden Girl, 2006 palomino mare by Tinsel King, currently with Carolyn and Ella Bond in Gloucestershire where she will be started under Western saddle.
Acorn Bo Peep, 2007 bay mare by Shiny Little Spark. See For Sale page for more information.
Acorn Dancing Queen, (above) 2008 sorrel mare by Shiny Little Spark. See For Sale page for her details.
Seren Magie Joe

1998 bay mare by Red Hot Profit ex Charlenes Bar, Magie was bought in 2003 in foal to Pesky Silver Foam producing a beautiful filly (see below). Since then she has produced great all round foals by Desired Vision and our own Tinsel King (Acorn Maggie May 2008 filly pictured above with her mother). Magie sadly lost her foal this year and is currently acting as a foster mother to a lovely Dales foal but is offered for sale once he is weaned and is offered in foal to Tinsel King. She is registered 82% NFQHA. She is a lovely mare with a super temperament (viz the fostering) but, due to a history of abuse, can be sometimes a little edgy and needs a home where allowances can be made for this. Her price of £2,500 ono reflects this and could include a service to Tinsel King if desired. Please contact Dorothy for further info.
Magie Joe's progeny include:-

Acorn Joanna, 2003 bay mare by Pesky Silver Foam, owned by John and Janelle Norton in Kent . Genie is used for Western activities and is pictured above.

Acorn Tehya/Tehya Moonlight Gold (pictured above), 2005 palomino mare by Tinsel King. Tehya is owned by Maria Church of Glynneath and is the first youngster we sold in Wales. She is currently being started under English saddle and is shown above. She was our first purebred foal by Tinsel King.

She managed to produce a gorgeous bay filly by Tinsel King in 2008 who is for sale and shown on the relevant page. Her pedigree has lots of barrel racing lines for those of you who like some speed! Sadly we lost Blue post foaling in 2009 but have got a lovely colt foal who has been successfully fostered. See Acorn QH News for more details.

2000 grey mare by Guns of Marietta ex Borregos Dandy. Pictured above with Acorn Jet, her 2008 foal, Pinkie's pedigree and disposition were the clincher here. She is our second purchase from the Wolfe Ranch and had been used for trail riding. We saw pictures of tiny children riding her and knew she was for us. 89% NFQHA. Her offspring are truly gorgeous and we are particularly proud of her offspring by Tinsel King. Indeed, her 2006 filly, Acorn Fine n Dandy has earned 1.5 halter points so far! Her run of TK babies has continued in 2009 with a gorgeous chestnut colt.

Ms San Leo Rojo

2001 sorrel mare by Little Canoso ex Miss San Rey. Rojo was imported in 2005 from Louisana. She is a really sweet mare and super cool. She had been ridden in the USA prior to import. She gave us all a huge scare upon arrival at Amsterdam when it was discovered she had foaled in flight!! Fortunately, superstar that she is, she'd managed not to step on her baby or damage her in any way and was quite unruffled by the experience! Rojo is 87% NFQHA. She has produced a series of three buckskin fillies but in 2008 had a change by presenting us with a palomino colt. She has now produced another palomino colt in 2009, pictured above.
