Quarter Horse Stallion

By Wansdyke Woodstock out of Woodhaven Fantasy, TK is an 86% buckskin Foundation Bred stallion standing a shade over 15hh.  He has lots of bone and substance and good feet and limbs. He is a really solid horse yet still retains athleticism and agility.  He has superb attitude and disposition and is a proven all round sire.  TK is hardy and tough, living out all year round, thus retaining his fitness and mobility.  None of the pictures on this page truly do him justice.

TK is bred for versatility.  As well as superb looks he has a wonderful temperament.  He is quiet to handle, and although we are unable to ride him due to an old injury, he "commutes" between our farms to his mares travelling by trailer or on foot on the road.  He is such a kind horse that we are able to run him with his "herds" of mares with no problems.

We bought Tinsel King in 2004 and his foals started arriving for us in 2005.  We have not been disappointed.  He produces a large proportion of palominos and buckskins.  His progeny seem to go on to do well as leisure or performance horses.  Our own Acorn Fine n Dandy (Suki) has earned 1.5 halter points in AQHA halter classes.  Many more of offspring are shown on this website.

Tinsel King is available to a limited number of approved mares each year by live cover only.  Indeed, he is such a gentleman that visiting mares are pasture bred to TK on an individual basis or in a slightly larger group.  Because of his impeccable temperament he can safely run with mares and foals.  In fact I have seen him playing like a colt with the foals!!  We can offer any visiting mares good grass keep.  Most mares actually seem happier and cycle more naturally in a group environment.  

One of TK's great strengths is that he produces excellent foals on a wide variety of mares.  His progeny compete in a variety of disciplines reflecting the true all round ability of the breed.
