Aerotech Inspection & NDT Ltd is proud to announce the arrival of their new 2-6MeV Betatron High Energy X-Ray Unit.

Unlike conventional method of radiography, the 2-6 MeV Betatron allows us to penetrate steel up to 300mm thick and concrete up to a meter thick. The Radiographs are produced to a higher quality than its Cobalt and Iridium counterparts at a much faster pace.

Location:  The new Betatron had been installed at Aerotech's third site in Gornal, which is conveniently located within the West Midlands close to all major transport links.

The facility is a purpose built radiation exposure bay measuring 19m long x 4.5meters wide and 3.8m high. It also benefits from a 5 tonne overhead crane, which enables us to inspect large castings and components.
