AFD has implemented an Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS). This system will manage and record data, documents, communication and processes, providing the framework for operating in a highly efficient and top quality manner.

AFD has completed both internal and external audits of the EQMS and successfully demonstrated that the system complies with the requirements of standard ISO 9001:2000.

On the 7th April 2006, AFD's management system was certified against the requirements of the quality standard ISO 9001:2000 for the supply of engineering services, stress analysis, mechanical testing expertise and certification activity.

AFD is a progressive company and is not going to stop at ISO9001. The aerospace benchmark for quality is AS/EN9100 and AFD intends to achieve certification against the benchmark standard by the end of 2007.
