One activity that sets AFD apart from other companies is our capability to provide Training Courses for Stress Engineers.

The AFD strategy is to offer modular and overlapping 'bespoke' courses that match with the client needs.

AFD can provide "off-the-shelf" modules or entirely customised modules. This approach allows a seamless integration of the learning/knowledge into the day-to-day application.

Introductory courses can be provided to cover the following primary topics:

• Static Stress Analysis
• Fatigue & Damage Tolerance
• Finite Element Modeling
• Composite Structures

The objective of each course is to provide an introduction to the basic principles and analysis techniques required in the stress office, providing opportunities to practice the techniques through numerous 'hands on' exercises.

More advanced courses can also be provided on request, e.g. Non-linear FEM
