Gloria Williams

Gloria Williams attended the West of England College of Art, studying painting, drawing and sculpture and specialising in Fashion and Design. Her love of fabrics, texture and colour in relation to the human form has always been the main inspiration for her work. After leaving college with honours she took up a teaching position at Swansea College of Art, later becoming Head of Department for a further seven years before leaving to start a family. Gloria enjoys working in most media, these being as diverse as her subject matter. She favours charcoal and conte for the strong linear approach to her chosen subject. Her figure studies and those for dance and ballet, although still bold capture light and movement. She is a member of the Bath Society of Artists and exhibits annually at the Bath Academy. She has exhibited wiith the West of England Academy and various group exhibitions in Devizes, Bath and Cardiff.
