Essex Winter Series
The Series
The Essex Winter Series is run by the Essex Canoeing Association. The official website of the ECA is www.essexcanoeing.org.uk, where dates, rules and results of all the races in the series are available (see Winter Series pages).
If there are any general queries about the series or the Race Rules, please apply directly to the Series Coordinator Gary Aldam.
Bishop's Stortford race (Race 1)
Date: Sunday 6th November

Venue: BSCC Clubhouse, Bishop's Stortford
Time: Booking in 10am-11:30am, races start 12:00
Parking: On an adjacent field. Please ensure you do not
exceed the 5mph speed limit
in the lane.
Pre-registration: All team leaders must register their
contact details with Secretary@essexcanoeing.org.uk.
Team leaders with large numbers of paddlers should ideally pre-register
their competitors to ease booking in - pre-payment is not required.
Cost: Seat fee £5 (non-BCU paddlers please see below)

BCU day membership - British Waterways require all participants to be covered by £5 million Public Liability insurance. All competitors who are current members of the BCU or current members of a BCU-affiliated club have this automatically. For independent paddlers who are not otherwise covered, BCU day membership will be available at £2.50 on request.
