Top Club & Clubmark

BSCC became accredited under Clubmark and BCU CanoeEngland's TopClub in 2007. The club was re-accredited in June 2011 as TopClub Gold, the highest standard - only the 7th club in England to achieve this award.

Clubmark is a national scheme to set standards for sports clubs with junior members, and it is now established as the kite-mark of a well-managed club striving to offer the best in coaching and sports development. Since the scheme was set up in 2002, the national governing bodies of 35 different sports have adopted Clubmark and in many cases integrated it with their own sport-specific schemes. In the case of canoeing, BCU CanoeEngland have incorporated the core standards of Clubmark into their TopClub scheme. Canoe clubs are now accredited on a tiered scale as ClubMark, TopClub or TopClub Gold.
