About me ... After gaining my degree from
London University, I went on to take a postgraduate Diploma in
Information Science at the City University. I then worked in
an academic library for 23 years, initially as a literature researcher
but then chiefly as an editor. When my first child was born, I became curious to learn about the earlier, forgotten generations of our ancestors. I have now been researching for 15 years - for most of that time I have been a member of the Society of Genealogists, and a frequent visitor to their library in London. I am also a member of several local family history societies. In 1998 I wrote up the story of one of my ancestral families (the BAKERs of Whitestone), and have recently published a revised version on CD. In 2000 my history of the KIBBEY family was one of the prize-winners in the Millennium Competition held by the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies. The services I offer ~
