About me ...

After gaining my degree from London University, I went on to take a postgraduate Diploma in Information Science at the City University. I then worked in an academic library for 23 years, as a literature researcher and publications editor.

I have been researching family history since 1992. In 2000 my history of the KIBBEY family was one of the prize-winners in the Millennium Competition held by the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies. I have also recently gained a Certificate in History (with distinction) from Birkbeck College, University of London.

I became a full-time family history researcher in 2007, and joined AGRA as an Affiliate shortly afterwards. In 2010 I was accepted as a full AGRA Member. AGRA (the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) seeks to ensure the highest standards within the profession - see the AGRA Code of Practice.

Good genealogy is not just about finding the documents; it is about recording and analysing the evidence to construct a verifiable family tree. I will aways abide by the principles of good practice described by the Society of Genealogists.

I am registered under the Data Protection Act with the Information Commissioner's Office, and any personal information you send me will be treated in the strictest confidence.

My aim is always to provide a friendly and reliable service at a fair price.
