Family tree charts
Here are two A4 family tree charts
in PDF for you to download for your own use. (If these charts
do not open for you, it may be that you need to download a copy
of the Adobe Acrobat Reader software, available free from the
Adobe website here.)
(1) Family Folios
fan chart (5/6-generation)
Click on the image above to open
this PDF file (277K) in its own window. Print out to A4 paper
- set Page Scaling to "Fit to Printer Margins" if you
find the outer edges of the chart are not printing properly.
When completing the chart, either place yourself in the centre
and your parents in the next ring, or leave the centre blank
and place yourself and your partner in the innermost ring.
(2) Family Folios
interactive pedigree chart (5-generation)
Click on the image above to open
this PDF file (286K) in its own window. The chart can be completed
electronically and printed, but please note that if you are using
the free version of Acrobat you will not be able to save what
you have typed, so make sure you have all your information to
hand before you begin. When completing the chart, start by changing
"Smith" in the title to your own surname. Place the
details about the source couple in the central blue and pink
boxes, replacing the sample text already in the chart. The source
couple's respective ancestors' details go to the left and right,
and information about their children (and perhaps children-in-law
and grandchildren) in the green box. The source couple could
be yourself and your partner, or it could be your parents. Print
your completed chart to A4 paper - set Page Scaling to "Fit
to Printer Margins" if you find the outer edges of the chart
are not printing properly.
A more detailed interactive
chart has been developed for clients' use. This advanced chart
includes the ability to transmit family data directly to Angela
over the internet when commissioning research. Please ask for
details.
