The
importance of fibre in grasses In the right climate.... Our grasses grow in the rich soils of Kansas, in the heartland of America, where the all-important winter growth season exists. We grow organically using no pesicides or herbicides - the best Mother Nature has to offer, with no harmful additives. Carefully processed.... We harvest the grasses in Spring, 200 days after planting, when the plant is at it's most nutritious. We rush the cut grasses and Alfalfa from the fields to the dehydration process. The concentrated dried grasses are then stored in nitrogen-flushed pharmaceutical bags at -20C to protect the delicate nutritents. They are then nitrogen packed (to remove oxygen) in amber glass bottles. SO,
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHEAT GRASS AND BARLEY GRASS? Wheatgrass or Wheat Grass?.... Tray-grown wheatgrass juice has become a familiar product in juice bars and health stores. However, many people realise that it has not reached it's full nutritional potential. Wheat Grass grown outdoors in its natural climate has much higher levels of vitamins, minerals and chlorophyll than tray-grown grass due to the vast differences in the growth process. After growing for 7-10 days, tray-grown grass is 6-8 inches tall. It is then harvested and juiced for consumption. Because it grows so fast in warm conditions, the plant has a relatively high level of simple sugars and is not given time to convert these sugars into complex carbohydrates, vitamins, enzymes and proteins. PINES WHEAT GRASS is grown outdoors for more than 200 days in Kansas - one of the best places on earth for growing wheat, barley and other cereals.
