Alverton Guest House

Northallerton, known as 'Aluretune'
In 1086AD in the Domesday Book, has a well deserved reputation for high quality shopping, friendly pubs, several buildings dating from the 17th century and some remnants of much earlier
occupation, including a Motte & Bailey
castle site, and evidence of Roman    occupation.
There are two weekly markets, held on Wednesday and Saturday when the wide main street is full of traders stalls.

This unspoilt corner of North East England is an excellent stopping off point for those taking the scenic route to Scotland or the North of England.
Situated between the Yorkshire Dales National
Park and the North York Moors National Park,
provides an ideal touring holiday centre.
On offer are heather clad moors and rolling hills of 'Herriot Country', picturesque market towns and remote moorland villages, well within easy reach of the splendid Yorkshire coast line.
With sandy beaches, spectacular cliffs, including the highest in England, seaside resorts and some quaint fishing villages.
