'Precision Coatings'
Rilsan covering rollers Rilsan, often referred to
as Nylon or plastic, is used extensively in offset litho printing presses and
is specified by press manufacturers including Heidelberg, Roland and Goss. Many
presses benefit greatly when their old copper or chrome coated rollers are
recovered with Rilsan. Worn out steel knurled rollers can be recovered in
Rilsan and machined with a micometric pattern at a fraction of the price of new
rollers.
No other "plastic" or "rubber" covering comes close to matching Rilsan in terms
of abrasion and wear resistance together with excellant resistance to
solvents.. As a result Rilsan rollers give a longer life, improved print
quality and potentially higher speeds. Rilsan resists ink build up and gives
extended life to wash up blades. It is not affected by inks, damper and wash up
solutions etc. Data sheet for chemical resistance is available on
request.
Standard delivery is 3 days but rollers can be turned around in 24 hours if
required. In more extreme cases repairs can be carried out in-situ.
AMC Precision Coatings will be taking part in a major printing and packaging
exhibition, EMBAX 2003, in the Czech Republic
