Anchor Tackle Ltd started trading in 1976 manufacturing a small amount of SEA fishing weights for shops in South East England. Once Sea weight production increased other patterns of weight were then introduced. The Arlesey bombs, Plummets and Coffin Leads followed then in the early 80's we started to manufacture CARP leads. We can confidently state that we were the first to commercially manufacture Carp Weights.

Then in the late 80's the Non-Toxic Legislation was passed within the British Isles and the use of lead in fishing between the weights 0.6g and 28.4g was outlawed. To keep ahead of competition we introduced our 'Super Dense' alloy Arlesey Bombs and Shortly after revolutionised the shot market with our easy to open and close 'Double-Cut Shot'.

Today we are expanding our Product Range to cover every type of Angling whether it is  SEA, COARSE, CARP or FLY
