Lol Herklots is a virtuoso player of many varieties of bagpipes and whistles which add the texture and excitement to the band. The sounds can vary from the dainty drawing room melodies of the Northumbrian pipes to the mighty skirl of the Scottish great pipes. His whistle playing is so fast his fingers appear merely to wave around above the holes with no physical contact. He's even been known to play two whistles at once for added harmony when the mood takes him.
