The choir is noted for its wide range of musical styles within its repertoire
and for its varied concert programme throughout the year. In Accord performs on
average five concerts a year and has developed a reputation for variety and
diversity.
A typical year's concert schedule may include:
The Christmas Concert (at St Martin's, Sherwood)
A traditional programme of choral
music, readings and carols by candlelight
A community event in collaboration
with schools throughout Nottingham designed to bring science to life through
music, drama and dance
A Summer Concert
A varied programme of mixed voice singing with a guest soloist
or group
A Cabaret
The lighter end of the musical repertoire is explored!
Lots of scope for solo performances. The cabaret is very
popular in the area and is always a sell out.
"Come and Sing" Day
Open to visitors, guests and friends to join us for a full day's
rehearsal and an early evening performance of a chosen work.
Previous days have featured Karl Jenkins' "The Armed Man" and the
Faure Requiem.
