A Workshop of Celtic Magic and Arthurian Legend in Tintagel, the Magical Birthplace of King Arthur
With
Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki And Andy Cooper

An almost unbelievable opportunity...

A unique mystical experience.  Now you can study the esoteric Matter of Britain and practise the magic of King Arthur in the very places he once lived and breathed.  Imagine yourself:

  • Creating magic in the ruins of King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Cornwall, England

  • Involved in a dramatic ritual within the gloomy depths of Merlin's Cave

  • Summoning the ancient dragons

  • Performing the ritual of the Restoration of the Courts of Joy and magic of a higher order than you have ever known before

"Within the Tower of Merlin" is  a three-day gathering in which you could be an active participant in powerful rituals designed to reconnect the 'Otherworld' of Logres with the physical realm of Avalon, the Blessed Isles.

All under the guidance and tuition of two of the world's leading experts on Arthurian legend, lore and magical practice, Third Degree Initiates Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki and Andy Cooper.

The Matter of Britain

This workshop is focussed on what Dion Fortune called the "Matter of Britain".  The intention is to work with Arthur, Merlin and the Company of the Table Round to restore and re-energise the connection between the Blessed Isles, the sacred and ancient land of Albion, and its counterpart, the withdrawn, 'Otherworld' of Logres.  To achieve this requires focussed attention, magical training and ability and a dedication that goes way beyond mere role-playing and singing the ancient songs.  This workshop requires, indeed demands, commitment, dedication and not a little courage.  You will be pushed to the edge of your magical ability and beyond.

Your stamina will be tested, and, each and every participant will be required to 'step up to the plate' magically, emotionally, intellectually and physically.

A unique individual contribution

You will each be assigned a part as far in advance of the workshop as is possible.  You will be expected to research the character you have been given thoroughly.  You will be given a reading list and you will meditate and work with that archetype, so that by the time you attend the workshop that character will be an integrated part of you.  This is to enable a high degree of spontaneity and connectivity with the magical realms, as the connection to the inner realms of Logres will already be embedded within you.  Upon being assigned a part, you will be given details of the costume you will need to wear for the weekend.  As some of the work will be outside in Cornish April weather, a heavy cloak and possibly boots would be an advantage.  Men may also be asked to bring either a sword or a staff.

Working with the Land

Being in Tintagel offers the perfect opportunity to work magically in all the places traditionally associated with Arthur and Merlin during Arthur's formative years.  We will meditate and perform a ritual in Merlin's Cave, in the headland under Tintagel Castle, only accessible at low tide, perform pathworkings in the ruins of the Castle itself, and experience Dion Fortune's famed Fires of Azrael Ritual on the beach as the tide goes out.

What you will gain from attending this training

This will be a profound magical and spiritual experience.  Whilst application to join the workshop is open to anyone from all lands, applicants will be carefully selected, and some people will be specifically invited to take on certain roles.  This will ensure that we have a high level of magical ability to support the work of the group and create a deep and powerful connection between Albion and Logres.  In many ways you should not ask the question "What is in it for me?" but remember the Magician's Maxim "I desire to know, in order to serve."  From service and decication to "The Matter of Britain" will come profound change and, quite literally. a once in a lifetime experience.

This is a very special once-only opportunity with strictly limited availability.  Act now to ensure your participation.  Guarantee yourself a life-changing experience in a setting you will never forget.  There are limited places available, so book early to guarantee your place.  The closing date for applications is 31st December 2007, to allow time to allocate roles and for personal preparation.
