Roleplaying
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a mudslide, in virtual reality.
Here is a girl but is it a he or she?
I'm just a role-player, I have no identity,
Because I'm easy come, easy go,
Is she real or just for show?
Any way the scene flows, doesn't really matter to me.
To me.
Seamstresses is (believe it or not) a roleplaying guild. As such when you consider entering into a transaction with one of our members, you should bear in mind the do's and don'ts of roleplay as follows:
Don't: Godmoding
Simply put Godmoding is saying what happens to other peoples' characters, in game you have control over your own character's actions and reactions, but not control over other peoples'. Ultimately you must wait for them to decide their character's reactions.
For example:
Incorrect: Luffy walks up to Seth and Seth says "Hello.."
Correct: Luffy approaches Seth, a smile playing on her lips.
Incorrect: Satin slaps Jarkko and Jarkko falls down.
Correct: Satin slaps Jarkko as hard as she can.
Do: Be creative!
Describe, describe, describe. There is nothing worse than writing a long emote/remote, only to have someone come in with a one line reply. If you are having difficulties thinking of things to write, then describe the surroundings. What is your character doing/wearing/thinking? What is the weather like?! Make sure your post is relevant to the one before. We don't want completely unrelated emotes popping up in reply.
Do: Use (OOC)
All roleplay behaviour should be contained within remotes or emotes, whichever is your preference. If you wish to discuss something occuring out of game, then please use a tell and add (OOC).
