Annual Dinner 2004
At the Club dinner on Maundy Thursday, members
of the Prince Henry's victorious Daily Mail Rugby Vase Trophy, Luke Cooper
Captain, Amman Boughan, James Duggan and Robert Grey were principal guests.
Other guests were David Slawson from the Referee's Society, Peter Fisher
President of Otley RUFC and Richard Scargill, Chairman of Ilkley RUFC.
John Churchman was MC for the evening and President, Adrian Normanton said
Grace and presented the Reg Marshall Trophy to Peter Tempest. Chairman,
Norman Coates spoke on behalf of the Yorkshire Rugby Union and Coach, Peter
Latham presented the 1st XV Player of the Year shield to Dave Roberts.
He also presented the Young Player of the Year Shield to Ben Newall.
The President presented scrum half Mattie Birch with his 1st XV tie and a
bottle of champagne to Brian Webster, 1st team Manager.
Members and guests were entertained after the meal, provided by Alistair
Hoyle, by comedian John James
