Within statutory legislation there is now an obligation within the workplace for every employer to make a formal assessment of the risks to health and safety exposed to both the workplace and visitors to the workplace.

AQUATIDE'S experienced engineers can carry out the assessment in two ways, both independently or as a combination supplied in a complete easy to understand professional report aimed at directors and management alike giving the complete risk assessment service.

AQUATIDE can carry out complete assessments to ensure full compliance with statutory obligation in line with: Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992. Every employer shall make suitable and sufficient and assessment of the risk to health and safety of his employees to which they are exposed to whilst at work and the risk to the health and safety of persons not in his employ arising out of or in connection with the business or building.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 1988 require formal assessment of health risks from hazardous substances which includes human pathogens or any dusts present in substantial quantities in air.

As an approval Code of Practice, the prevention or control of legionellosis (L8 & HS(G)70) has placed a responsibility on employers to carry out a Risk Assessment to identify and minimise the risk to the health of employees or the general public.

AQUATIDE'S fully qualified and experienced personnel carry out a detailed survey of your system. A comprehensive report is then presentedm which details the level of risk and makes recommendations for any modifications necessary to prevent or minimise those findings.

AQUATIDE'S risk assessment is an in depth look at the system using photographs, bacteria and/or dust samples and we undertake a basic schematic drawing of the system for you. We investigate the size, nature and state of cleanliness and maintenance of the system, which will allow you to comply with your legal obligation to crate and maintain an air and water hygiene and maintenance record. We can, if required, budget costs for remedial action.

The initial assessment of the systems conditions and identification of risks is the first step for existing plants. This forms a basis for a programme of works, to include cleaning, disinfection, remedial work and monitoring as required, ensuring the risk to employee and the general public are minimised.
