FRONT DOORS

Having drilled the holes, you can now prepare to fit the plates. First of all apply the rubber gasket to the back of the stainless-steel frontplate and apply a small amount of silicone around the threaded studs.

Then insert the zinc backplate into the door and refit the door-lock mechanism as shown in the photo. This will hold the backplate in position...

STEP 12

You can now attach the stainless-steel frontplate and secure it with the supplied Nyloc Lock-Nuts.

Please note that because access is a little awkward. Where access to the locking nuts is restricted, you could use a make-up "eyeliner pen" to grip the nut while you get it started on the threads

STEP 12

Once the Nyloc nuts are tightened (do not overtighten), then you simply need to check the alignment of the keyhole and if necessary, gently tap the plate with a soft-faced mallet.

Congratulations! You have just fitted the best lock-protection system available on the market!
