STEP 5
Now
remove the lock mechanism clip using a flat screwdriver
or tack-remover, as shown in the photo...
Note
: You will not be
refitting this clip!
STEP 6
The
next step is to remove the lock-barrel. This is achieved
by pressing the release mechanism using a small
screwdriver, turning the door-key and withdrawing the
barrel. This is better explained by clicking on the
photo below...
STEP 7
To
significantly
enhance
the security of your Ford door-locks, we provide an
upgrade kit which should be fitted by following the
instructions below.
Remove
the plastic cap by prising with a small screwdriver to
reveal the small keyhole-surround. This will be replaced
with the unit provided in your kit.
There are 3 simple steps
to performing this upgrade..

Refit
the original spring-loaded flap.

Fit
the new keyhole-surround and tap it gently into place
with a hammer.

Test
the spring-loaded flap with a small screwdriver.
That's
all there is to it! Now you can proceed to the next stage
of the Armaplate installation.
