Inner Wheel is an all female organisation, if your are interested in joining, go to the Who Can Join page
Inner Wheel has three Objectives.
To promote true friendship - To encourage the ideals of personal service - To foster International understanding
FRIENDSHIP with SERVICE whilst HELPING THOSE LESS FORTUNATE THAN ONESELF - truly reflect a typical Inner Wheel Member. If you are not a member, why not join us and enjoy helping those in your community or overseas.
The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs is like a wedding cake with tiers – the largest and most important tier is at grass roots level with a Club, near you, in most towns and cities and large villages. These Clubs all have corresponding Rotary Clubs. The next tier is at District level – there are 29 Districts that make up Great Britain and Ireland; again these correspond with the Rotary Districts. The third tier is the GB&I Association; with a Governing Body and Executive Members representing all corners of Great Britain and Ireland. The fourth tier is International Inner Wheel, which represents 98,000 members from all the Inner Wheel Clubs in 103 Countries around the world.
The GB&I Association President is Phyllis Charter, Newent & District Club in Gloucestershire, District 10 and her chosen charity for this year is
Sue Ryder and the Sue Ryder Foundation in Ireland.
The 2011/2012 International Inner Wheel President, Catherine Refabert, comes from France and her chosen Theme for the year is
THINK AHEAD – AIM HIGH.
The Inner Wheel Year is from 1st July until 30th June the following year.
Please browse these pages to find out more about Inner Wheel in Great Britain & Ireland.
The Association publishes a magazine three times a year, to read the latest edition click on the magazine below. Previous editions can be seen HERE
Judy Hardcastle ran in the London Marathon in April for the third consecutive time, this year for our Inner Wheel Association President’s chosen charity - Sue Ryder Care, who’s message is ‘going the distance for people with challenging illnesses including cancer, MS and strokes’.
Judy says that hardest part of the Marathon is not the 26.2 mile run, but the training needed to get to the start line feeling ready for the challenge ahead!
If you would like to help her raise money for Sue Ryder Care and raise the profile of Inner Wheel, please send any donations to the following website: www.justgiving.com/Judy-Hardcastle2012
