They were an odd mob. The ruler lived 40 years or so. On death, they built over his temple, which became his mausoleum. They then had to redraw all the mud plaster images on the outside of the new wall. There are at least six presently visible built over such walls. This is the last. They did not use stairs but ramps. The plaza was used for assemblies and possible fights to the death between either locals or prisoners. There was also ritual slaughter (decapitation) and human sacrifice. The bottom left room may have been used by shamans dispensing mescaline. The pictures are religious symbols, the usual animals and also soldiers and captives.
