  The textiles workshop provides the fundraising shop with newly covered bouncers, car seats and pushchairs, pram and cot quilts, blankets and baby clothes.

All of the baby clothes have either been donated by the general public or knitted by participants. Items included in this are pyjamas, babygros, jumpers, trousers, skirts, cardigans, t shirts, dresses, shoes, trainers and slippers.To make a donation please call 0116 2516415.

All of the new covers, blankets, and pram and cot quilts are made from donated fabrics by participants on the small number of sewin machines (including overlockers and a hemmer) that we have in the workshop.

 The textiles supervisor Ranjan Chauhan trains participants to use these machines to produce good quality baby items. Through this training the participants can go on to achieve OCN certificates, which means that even if they are only able to stay with us for a short period they can still gain useful vocantinal certificates.
