Disabling Browser Integration

Are you getting a blank screen when you try to open a PDF document?

Then find Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat) Preferences choose Internet and uncheck the Display PDF in browser checkbox.

These instructions apply to Adobe Reader 7 (and Adobe Acrobat 7). In earlier versions the Preferences dialogue was found in the File menu and the relevant checkbox was labelled Web Browser Integration.
