Bradley Bar Private Day Nursery is an established nursery based in Huddersfield licensed to care for 32 children, including 12 under twos.  We welcome children from 3 months to 5 years.

Our philosophy is ‘to provide a happy and safe environment with a range of stimulating activities which encourage the child to learn through play’.  We are Ofsted registered and therefore eligible for the nursery education funding for all 3 and 4 year olds.

We have an enthusiastic team of twelve and operate a key person system. This means that each member of staff has responsibility for an identified group of children.  The system enables staff to document the progress of the individual child and keep the necessary records.  Parents/guardians are encouraged to view their own child’s file at any time.  We place a high value on partnership with parents and work closely with you to ensure the quality of your child’s learning and development.

The nursery facilities include a main playroom, home corner, quiet area, sensory room and two baby rooms.  All rooms are equipped with a large selection of toys, activities and books with the emphasis being on self-selection and independent choice for the children.  Outside we have a climbing frame with den, climbing wall and slide, safety surfacing as well as a grassed area, wooden deck and playhouse.  We operate a free-flow system during core periods of the day whereby both indoor and outdoor areas are staffed and the children choose where they would like to play.

At Bradley Bar we believe that the value of a child’s work is not in the finished product but in the journey of discovery and experience the child takes to get there.
