We Can Transfer your Vinyl records to CD

Transferring your old vinyl LPs to CD is a labour of love. It starts by using excellent audio equipment.  Reducing the hiss and all those clicks and pops takes time and good software.  It all needs care and attention to detail.

We can do all this for you.

We use high quality audio equipment to record your LP or Cassette.  First, the LP is cleaned of dust.  Then the recording is made to Digital Audio Tape (DAT) at a high sampling rate.  This is transferred to a PC where sophisticated software is used to reduce hiss, crackles, clicks and pops.  The resulting audio files are then transferred to CD.

There are several options available to you.

The cheapest is to record each side of the LP as a single track, - not splitting the recording into its separate tracks.  This will give you two tracks per LP.  Removing clicks, pops and hiss (if you require this) is done automatically.

This Basic service costs £12.00 per LP

The next service will also record each side of the LP as a single track, but clicks and pops are removed manually.  This will remove more of them than the automatic method.

This Advanced service costs £22.00 per LP

Either of these services can include splitting the recording

This Splitter option costs £8.00 per LP

The CD is supplied in a jewel case, with a copy of the front and back covers of the LP in the jewel case, and a label on the CD.

So to get your reasonably clean LP onto CD, with all the tracks separated, will cost £20.00

We will return the original recording to you, plus your CD, using the same carriage methods as you used to send them to us.  The cost of this return is extra.  Presumably your records are precious to you - and certainly we treat them that way.  It is probably best to send them insured.

All prices are exclusive of VAT

Copyright Issues:

This service is not intended to provide a means of pirating copyright material.  We will only accept material for which you own the copyright, or is on the original media covered by the artist's copyright (usually an LP or EP or single).   You must own the record(s) you send us.  Once you receive the LP and CD, you must not sell either of them separately.  If you sell the LP, then you should either destroy the CD or it should go with the LP to your purchaser, and they too should not sell one without the other.   You must not make additional copies of either the LP or the CD.

Loss or damage

We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to your record(s) during transit from you to us or from us to you.  If any record is damaged while in our care, our liability is limited to the value of the damaged record.  We will try to replace any damaged records with another in similar or better condition.  Failing that we will refund the value of the record as given by a reputable dealer.
