Directions

Take M5 north.  Exit Jct 6 for Kidderminster. Follow main road to Kidderminster (10-15 miles).  At second roundabout in Kidderminster take right onto ring road.  At end of ring road follow signs for Bridgnorth and Telford.  Keep on to Bridgnorth.  (15-20 miles). At first roundabout in Bridgnorth turn left onto bypass and follow road to Much Wenlock.  Into 30mph down bank and round to left on sharp corner with Gaskell Arms on left corner.  Stay on Shrewsbury road after about 300 yds take left signpost Church Stretton.  Out of town and past quarry on right.  Half mile take first right down steep bank.  Into Hughley.  Through bends of village, to the very bottom of the valley, Keep right at  last junction. Round sharp left bend long road in front of you.  300yds on left into driveway. Sign at end of drive ‘Walnut Cottage’.

From North

South on M6 until you see signs for M54 (no junction on M6 you will have to follow signs on some dual carriageways until you join M54 direction Telford & Shrewsbury.  Stay on M54 past all exits for Telford until you reach junction 7.

(also from East via the M54)

On M54 direction Shrewsbury.  Leave M54 at Junction 7. At end of slip road turn left.  Take first turn right ( long straight road with big hill on left).  At end turn left , through village of Eaton Constantine.  Keep on and over a staggered cross roads.  Into village of Cressage.  At war memorial straight on in direction of Much Wenlock.  About 2 miles outside Cressage village take right turn into Harley (big agricultural merchant NB Camber in fork).  Take first right,  continue for 200 yards to fork and take the left fork towards Hughley.  Stay on this road for several miles to the very end.  Turn right and left into first driveway.  Sign at end of drive ‘Walnut Cottage’

 
From South Wales (via Ross on Wye/Ludlow)

Take A49 Shrewsbury road from Ludlow.  At Traffic lights on the main road in Church Stretton turn right towards Much Wenlock.  Stay on that road until you pass the Wenlock Edge Pub on right hand side ( 20 mins drive from Church Stretton)  take the next turn left (about half mile).  Be careful this is a very sharp turn back on yourself and you have to take to the right hand side of the road.  If you are worried about this or essentially if you have a caravan go on for another 300 yards and turn in the entrance to the Caravan Club Site on your right . . Down very steep bank into Hughley.  Through bends of village, to the very bottom of the valley, Keep right at  last junction. Round sharp left bend long road in front of you.  300yds on left into driveway. Sign at end of drive ‘Walnut Cottage’.
