Some background on Mannie...

 

She grew up in the Quorn and Meynell Branches of the Pony Club. which means that she was fortunate enough to receive the finest possible training available to any young rider. Mannie represented her Branches in numerous dressage and jumping events, and the Prince Philip Cup at the Horse of the Year Show.

 

She was a successful junior show jumping rider, and later as a member of the Senior British Team, she rode for this country in major International and European competitions.

 

Before settling in this lovely part of Suffolk, Mannie owned and managed two well known British Horse Society Training and Examination Centres in London, where career students from home and abroad were trained for professional equestrian qualifications.

 

A riding school is a very individual kind of business. They are all different: some obviously have superior facilities and some may have better riding country. The main difference however, probably derives from the knowledge, experience and personality of the owner, which influences the staff and puts its stamp on the establishment as a whole.

Bentley Riding School business was established through Mannie in 1987. It is a riding school for the family: for children and adults who wish to learn to ride for pleasure, and yet can receive the quality of instruction and encouragement to go on to successful competitive riding if they have the talent and desire to do so.

 

Mannie teaches both staff and clients and  this is particularly reflected in the number of children and adult riders who have progressed through the riding school to horse ownership in our livery community. Helped by her ongoing tuition and constant advice and encouragement, they are winning consistently in dressage and show jumping throughout the Anglia region.
