For 2007 we introduced The Bamako Run. Most of the surviving vehicles were handed over to the Rotary Club Bamako Amitié for auction:

Total raised: CFA 1,250,000 (£ 12,750)

We have been advised of the following projects that have immediately benefitted from the funds raised by the Bamako Run vehicle sales:

  • The Koulouninko Village already has a brand new full operational SS pump.
  • The School roof in the Dinafar village is currently being replaced and the children will soon be taught inside again rather than outside under a tree.
  • Funds have been allocated to purchase desks and chairs for the Pongoon Village school.
  • A survey is currently being undertaken into the provision of a well / pump for the Dinafar Village.

Thanks to Roger (Rotary Club) for the above information.
