The Lodge of Instruction (LOI)

Last Updated 29th June 2018

The members of the Lodge believe that Freemasonry should be enjoyed, and this enjoyment is amplified by the Lodge Of Instruction.

We are proud of the standard of work in the Lodge which is a direct result of the time and effort invested by our members at the LOI, where we practice Masonic Ritual and, of course, create lasting friendships.

The Goffs Oak LOI meets fortnightly on Friday evenings, at Halsey Masonic Centre, Cheshunt, with meetings normally starting at 8 p.m.

The meetings are run in a very friendly manner giving everyone the opportunity to learn and practice the ritual in their own time and at their own speed.  At the end of each meeting, the format of the next LOI is decided so that everyone has at least two weeks to revise their respective duties. Needless to say, following the LOI we all need suitable refreshment and adjourn to relax in the bar afterwards!

We have many members of our LOI who are members of other Masonic Lodges, so if you would like to sample "Goffs Oak Working", why not come along on some of the dates listed ?  Just ask the bar staff to direct you to the Goffs Oak "boys" and we will be pleased to welcome you.
