Starting
archery at Adel
The
Bowmen of Adel welcome new members of all abilities. Our only
requirement
is that you have completed a six week beginners course. If you are
already an archer but
looking
for a new club please e-mail Nick.
For membership fees see about
us.

Getting started
The best way to get started is to
come along to a have-a-go day when members
of the public and friends are invited to try out the sport. The next
Have-a-go sessions will be in April 2010 and on the first May Bank
Holiday (subject to confirmation).
There will be a small charge. All
children must be accompanied by an adult during the have-a-go. Minimum
age is 10.

Learning to shoot
If you have already had a taste of archery and want to
take it further you will
need to go on a course before you can join any archery club. If you are
interested
in taking a beginners course at Adel please see adjacent box.
All
children must be accompanied by an adult during the course.
Minimum
age is 10.

Have-a-go
Next session April 2010 (we
have completed our programme of have-a-go sessions for 2009)
You do not need to have any archery equipment as this will be provided
on the day. However, you will need to wear suitable clothing. Aim to
keep warm and dry by wearing two or three thin layers. Try and select
clothing that is not too baggy, especially on the upper body and arms.
Again, wear sensible shoes or boots. As we cannot guarantee good
weather, bring something waterproof.
A limited range of refreshments will be available. Click here
for photos of previous courses.
To book your place or to find out more about have-a-go days and
training courses contact John Mirfield e-mail or by phone on
