As you’ll appreciate, rates for our service will depend upon the number of employees, whether pay is weekly, or monthly, the calculation of gross pay, the level of deductions (attachments, student loans etc), the information/reports you require and the level of our involvement in other matters, such as PAYE/NIC remittances, end of year returns, dealing with forms P45/46 etc.

We’re always prepared to negotiate, to suit particular circumstances and always flexible!


Normally, we’d expect you to provide the gross wages information, at least two working days before required. We’d then provide ~

1)   First class posting to you, of all the payslips and required reports.

2)   Monthly and Quarterly PAYE/NIC reports.

3)   P45 information for leavers.

4)   Annual Holiday monitoring and reporting.

5)   End of tax year reports.

6)   Individual payslips, including copies for you.

7)   Submission of P45's and P46's to HM Revenue & Customs.

8)   Other reports, as required (eg Departmental).


For set-up purposes, apart from the pay to date information, we’d also require, for each employee ~

1.   Surname

2.   Forenames

3.   Current permanent address

4.   National Insurance No.

5.   Date of birth

6.   Marital status

7.   Date of starting

8.   P45, or P46

9.   Rate of pay

10.  Job title

11.  Whether full-time, or part-time.

12.  An indication of the weekly hours to be worked.

13.  Holiday pay entitlement.

14.  Details of any vehicle, fuel, or other benefits.

15.  Any other relevant information (eg attachment order, student loan).


·         Are you aware of the statutory requirements regarding minimum pay and working hours?

·         Do you know the difference between employment and self-employment?

·         Did you realise that many employers can pay their PAYE/NIC quarterly?

·         Are you aware of the new rules within the sub-contract industry?

·         Do you deal with any 'casual' employees properly?

·         Did you realise that it's not a problem, dealing with the wages of an employee, who has more than one job?

·         Do you know about employing students?

·         Do you know about student loan deductions, attachments and tax credits?

·         Do you worry about P45's, P46's and P11's?

·         Are your workers employed, or self-employed?

·         Are you aware of the Holiday Pay entitlements? (Does not apply to certain workers)

·         Are you aware of the identity checks for new employees?
