The office opened in 2001 when the old police station at The Pavement
was closed. It is staffed by volunteers and is always open on Monday, Thursday

Village
News was started in 1999 by Kevin and Jill Arnold
who lived in Brewood at that time. It is distributed free to Brewood and
surrounding villages with a circulation of 12,000. As well as news there are
details of village organisations and advertisements for local businesses. The
Arnolds now live in Wales and can be contacted at: Village News, Hendy

1TD, but the publication is still produced locally and delivered by hand

Transport:
Brewood is well served by buses run by
several different operators both on a regular basis to Wolverhampton and less
frequently to other towns and villages in the area. The nearest large mainline
rail stations are at Wolverhampton and Stafford and there are smaller stations
at Penkridge, Bilbrook and Codsall. Bus and rail timetables can be obtained from
the Parish Council offices.
