Brewood boasts a very fine sheltered housing development for the elderly - Deansfield House. This, along with a number of warden controlled bungalows, are now owned and administered by the South Staffordshire Housing Association who took over all the housing stock of South Staffordshire Council under a 1997 voluntary transfer scheme.

There are a number of small developments of shared equity housing built by independent housing associations and aimed at the first time buyer. Other accommodation for rent is in private ownership.
