BEST KEPT LARGE VILLAGE IN SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE

COMPETITION WINNERS 2005, 2006, 2007 and now 2008!

Following on from its success in 2005, 2006 and 2007 the village of Coven has once again been awarded the coveted Express & Star trophy for the Best Kept Large Village in South Staffordshire.

Coven’s success in winning the title, for what is now four consecutive years, is a tribute to the dedication of Parish Councillor Mrs Yvonne Millward with the support of her fellow Councillors and the community as a whole, which takes great care and pride in maintaining the village to such a high standard – noticeably not just for the duration of the competition but all year round! Mrs Millward was particularly pleased at the involvement and contribution that the youth of the village made this year.

They are to be congratulated on such an achievement. With Brewood, previously regular winners of the Trophy, coming a close second this year many years of friendly rivalry can be expected in the future.
