My sad KettWiesel and Speed Ross recumbent

This is my rather poor Hase KettWiesel I bought it at the right price [ thanks Kevin ] but it has seen much service there are over 20 adjustment marks on the steering rod for starters!

It has had a front post welded on to mount a front mech , which may or may not work ?

Came with non Kett front rings [ double where the pedal crank did not clear the steering arm ] swapped for one in picture 48-38-28 currently using 48.

 No brake or shifter cables , now fixed with modded brake arms at wheel end.

Came with non Kett friction shifter for rear and a 9 speed cassette with a rear mech that long it touched the ground before it could rotate fully. Gripshift fitted with 7 speed cassette [ not standard Kett Megarange ] and Alivio rear mech now works but gear range insufficient to tackle the hills around here.

Seat also bodged , I have a complete cover to replace back and base in one piece but may look into lengthening base by couple of inches [ kit is available to do this , gives up to 3" ] before fitting.

Now got 8 speed Megarange and new chain these will be fitted shortly when I have tweak the cassette gear range to even up the steps at the low end. This is more use on a trike than the top end , don't want to walk up any hills do we ! 

On a whim I also bought this bike called a Speed Ross boy is it fast [ too fast for me ! ] but I have been able to master riding it although speeds above 24 mph scare the s**t out of me !
