| Skyraider based on paper plane plan found on the web and built from white foam. Colour scheme represents a South Vietnamese aircraft. Looked good but did not fly as well as expected , insufficient of attack on wing compared tail incidence caused stalls at any speed ! Will build another.
Tissue and balsa flying wing (plan from Aero Modeller) flies well but I cannot resist tinker with it. I am in the process of removing the tail , it now has 2 fins each the same area as the old tail but mounted on the wing were the ribs are. The prop is the infamous 'Butterfly' one.
Yak9 also a Aero Modeller plan , made from blue foam flies well but is 2 heavy at 28gms +. For your money you get 3 very fast laps and no glide , also destined to be flown outside this season. Built a Bf109 to replace it , it is lighter but not yet trimmed. | |
