12th Bromley Brownie Guides
Games, crafts, new friends, days out.
Learn to bake a cake or sew on a button; how to use Morse code or treat someone who has fainted. Come and take part in our Christmas pantomime or a musical concert. Perhaps you’d prefer making a hand puppet or working for your writer’s badge.
Whatever your interests we’ll find a place for you. So if you are female and between the ages of 7 and 11, please come a join us on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7pm (term times only).
Note: There is a waiting list so get in contact with Brown Owl a few years in advance if possible.
A great Pack Holiday was enjoyed by 18 girls on the theme of 'bugs'! We had great fun
designing butterflies, making spider's webs and sliding along an ant's trail (grass sledging
to the uninitiated).
The summer term saw us at Christmas Tree Farm, walking from Downe to Famborough,
plus gaining our 1st Aid badges amoungst others.
Now it's the start of a new term and we've already planned a Pet Show, a trip to an animal
sanctuary and to do a sponsored event for the RSPCA.
Why not come and enjoy the fun!
Brownies and Rainbows' Christmas Show 2005 was a huge success
We would like to say thank you to everyone who came to support us and helped to raise over £300 for Demelza House Children's Hospice.
The first show, on Saturday, went really well apart from a curtain-related disaster, as it broke halfway through the first half and stayed half open, half closed for the rest of the show! But thanks to some speedy DIY the curtain was in full working order for Sunday's show, which was a great success.
All the Rainbows and Brownies really enjoyed performing in the show, which included dancing, singing, playing various musical instruments and acting in a specially written play 'The Princess and the Pauper' (courtesy of 'Otter', Sarai Woollins). Lots of the Brownies made up their own small group dances and several earned their Entertainer and/or Musician badges - congratulations girls!
