Canterbury Pilgrims

At the time of writing it is 4 weeks since John’s birthday celebration at BMC and our Farewell Tea and Service the following day. How time flies. And we still have half a garage full of boxes and things waiting to be unpacked. But we’re getting there.

We are writing to thank you all at BMC for making John’s birthday party and our Farewell so wonderfully special. The weekend was naturally tinged with sadness but there was such joy, fun and sincere affection and love shared by all, young and old, that the whole weekend was one we shall remember and cherish for the rest of our lives.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity expressed through the wonderful and much appreciated gifts you gave use. The lawn mower has been put to use already, and we now have a lovely flat back digital TV, a nice leather swivel chair for the study. And a garden shed is to follow.

Thank you again for the 11 wonderful years we shared with you, and for the joyful and generous expressions of your love as we left you.
