A peaceful scene with birds fishing in the channel by the pumping station ends when a diving Cormorant makes the mistake of surfacing with its catch inside a circle of hungry Dalmatian Pelicans and immediately gets involved in a heated debate on fish quotas .....

One Dalmatian Pelican makes its views clearly felt, while the other Pelicans watch the action, biding their time. One bird looks slightly nervous and moves off in case he becomes the next "fish rage" victim!

The Cormorant strikes back? For a moment, the underdog looks as if it can give as good as it gets and may have found a soft spot in there somewhere!

But in the end, the Cormorant gives up the uneven struggle - maybe it isn't so hungry after all! It swims off, shaken and more than slightly stirred, without its fish supper, but still in one piece.
