Previous Bands: Lees and Glodwick, Trafford, Moston and Beswick, Dobcross, Boarshurst, Poynton.

Nicola began playing the Flugel Horn aged seven (can I have one like my
friend please?) at her primary school, St. Raphael's Millbrook. She soon
progressed to Carrbrook Brass again playing the Flugel, before moving
onto Lees and Glodwick Band. At 18 Nicola joined the Trafford Band on cornet until the band sadly folded. A few brief appearances at local bands followed before joining the Moston and Beswick band on Flugel Horn whilst studying at Salford University. A change onto Tenor Horn in second year at university saw Nicola move to Dobcross Silver Band. After completing her studies Nicola took time out to travel in Australia helping a few bands out on the way (Bondi Beach Brass Band anyone?!!!)

On returning to England Nicola joined her local band Boarshurst
(Greenfield) Silver Band. Whilst playing for Boarshurst the band
enjoyed much success including competing in the third section National
Finals at Dundee. Nicola joined VBS Poynton Band during Christmas 2003 and was part of the band that successfully qualified for the 2004 National Finals in Harrogate. Nicola left Poynton in August 2006 and spent some time helping out local bands before joining BT in April 2007.
