A vacancy has arisen for a hygienist to work in a small and friendly team. Sue Darby is a member of the British Periodontal Society and is keen to keep treatment within the practice. The person who takes on this key role will be involved in treating a wide range of periodontal conditions in accordance with the principal's plan for each patient that can be adjusted in discussion with the hygienist. Accordingly, they should be confident in tackling cases varying from routine maintenance through to deep scaling in severe aggressive periodontitis and be capable of demonstrating progress through recording results of routine assessments of oral health.
The hygienist will be expected to work within the team to promote the ethics and ideology of the practice and be eager to join in with CPD training.

The hygienist's surgery is well equipped, located on the first floor away from the main surgery and is therefore quiet.



Initially, 16 hours (4 sessions) of work are offered to the suitable applicant. The position offered is for permanent employment and therefore has the benefit of paid leave, SSP and SMP.
