BT Community Champions
BT Community Champions recognises and rewards BT employees who do voluntary work in their spare time in their local community.

Recognition in this instance is to Richard Bush, who has been involved with the Southern 50 and Chiltern 20 almost every year from their outset and currently is Treasurer for both, one of the S50 Walk Route Controllers and Web Admin

BT has just (Feb 2008) provided a grant of £260 to the Southern 50.
This will be used to purchase new safety equipment - high visibility bibs for checkpoint and vehicle staff plus most importantly walkers armbands, so that drivers can clearly see our staff and walkers during the hours of darkness.

Petchey_image_mini

The Jack Petchey Foundation has made a number of donations to the Southern 50 and Chiltern 20 over the past three years, which has been used for hi-vis safety wear for walkers

2007 - £500 which provided fluorescent snap bands
2006 - £500 Fluorescent armbands
2005 - £500 Scanglow reflectors for attaching to backpacks
