Broxtowe
Domestic Violence Network
Awareness page
An inter-agency domestic violence forum was set up in
2001 by BWP to address the local needs and issues of training, public
awareness, effective referral processes and domestic violence policies and
guidelines.
After
many developments and changes in the area, the Forum was restructured to form two
new working groups: the South Notts Domestic Violence Strategic Partnership and the Broxtowe
Domestic Violence Practitioners' Network. The Strategic
Partnership is formally recognised as the Task Group for the Broxtowe Safer
Communities Partnership, with a remit to implement the supporting Delivery Plan
for the Broxtowe Domestic Violence Strategy 2008-2011.
The
restructuring ensures that frontline practitioners have an opportunity to focus
on networking, sharing of good practice and information and the general strengthening
of inter-agency working.
