CAC Monitoring Systems Ltd testing laboratory provides asbestos air sampling, fibre counting, clearance testing and the certificate of reoccupation. Following air testing, fibre counting can be carried out on site by our fully trained analysts. The testing laboratory also provides asbestos bulk sampling and fibre identification which is carried out in our main laboratory. CAC Monitoring Systems Ltd hold UKAS Accreditation (Testing Laboratory Number 1321) for asbestos sampling of air, bulk materials, asbestos fibre counting and fibre identification.

ASBESTOS IDENTIFICATION
Analysis of asbestos bulk samples takes place at our main UKAS accredited laboratory, carried out by fully trained staff who all hold the minimum qualifications (BOHS P401 and ongoing in-house training). Analysis of asbestos bulk samples is conducted to the international standard (ISO 17025) using both in-house procedures, the Analysts Guide HSG 248 and continued satisfactory performance in AIMS (Asbestos In Materials Scheme).

The laboratory is able to analyse any quantity of samples, with a quick turn around of results as necessary. All sample results are detailed on clear and easy to understand test reports.

Delivery Of Samples For Asbestos Identification

Re-sealable Sample Bag
Samples submitted to our testing laboratory must be within a suitably sealed container, such as a re-sealable polythene bag and the sample should be small (in most cases thumbnail sized will be sufficient). Place the sample in one bag and seal then place into a second bag and seal. Please lable the outer bag with an address of the property the sample was taken and a description i.e. 'floor tile from kitchen'. The sample can then be delivered to our laboratory (for a location map, Click Here) or posted via recorded/special delivery (standard post not acceptable).

TYPES OF ANALYSIS CARRIED OUT

Our testing laboratory is able to carry out analysis on:

  • Samples collected by a third party;

  • Samples collected by one of our     analysts/surveyors on a customer     request;

  • Samples collected by our surveyors     as part of an MDHS 100 Type 2/3     Asbestos Survey.

  • 24 Hour Turnaround Available

    *24 hour turnaround may not be available on larger batches of samples (50+), please contact our office for more details.



    ASBESTOS AIR MONITORING & FIBRE COUNTING

    CAC Monitoring Systems Ltd are able to carry out a range of asbestos air testing with fibre counting conducted either on site or in our main laboratory. Our analysts are fully qualified in both asbestos air testing and fibre counting, holding the minimum qualifications, BOHS P403 and P404 and taking part in an ongoing internal quality control scheme. The laboratory also maintains a satisfactory performance in the RICE (Regular Interlaboratory Counting Exchange) scheme.

    CAC Monitoring Systems Ltd are able to carry out the full range of asbestos air testing including Background, Personal, Leak, Reassurance and Clearance forming part of the Four Stage Certificate of Reoccupation
