Truss Analysis (2D) Program Features: Analysis of pin jointed 2D lattice structures with loads applied at node positions. The program is provided in its basic form with limited error checking provided, so its up to the user (as always) to ensure the input is correct and that the results are as expected. The program provides a useful learning tool, for those studying structural analysis using any method. Tutors wishing more in the way of output (the matrices etc) or structured exercises please discuss with CADOSS. Beta testers required for this program and the future developments of the program. Incentive:- Free copies of fully developed programs that have received feed back from registered beta testers. To register as a beta tester please provide a brief CV in the first instance. Users must register in order to use this program FREE of charge for non-commercial use. All feed back from users will be reviewed and acted upon where appropriate. This program is not as yet intended for commercial use, but subject to correct checking and review the program may be used by registered commercial users subject to a nominal fee and agreement on liability. Any other interests would be welcome. |

Registration, Terms and Conditions of Use The Truss Analysis (2D) Program is supplied free of charge to registered non-commercial users for their use only. The Program shall not be resold, but may be passed on, on condition that all subsequent users also registered with CADOSS. Ownership of the Program belongs to CADOSS and copyright shall remain with CADOSS unless expressly stated otherwise. This Program is provided in good faith and no liability can be accepted for errors or misinterpretation of the results. It remains conditional that users of the Program satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of any results used. It is also required that all production work carried out using CADOSS products is independently checked by appropriately qualified engineers. The settling of any ambiguities in the interpretation of these terms and conditions rests with CADOSS, and their interpretation shall remain final. You must accept the above conditions, and any further conditions shipped with particular items, before you use any CADOSS product. If you do not accept the terms and conditions you should not use the Program. |

User Instructions:- 1. Run the 2D_Truss_Zip.exe this will expand into five files 2. Run the SetUp.exe, which will install all the Truss files. During installation if the message cannot install a particular file is sent then select the key 'IGNORE' to continue. 3. The Truss Program is TrussR22.exe. An icon will automatically be installed on your desktop. 4. An example file "Staad7" can be called up by selecting Existing Job from the 2D-Truss menu and giving "Staad7" as the file name. This file is similar to an example used by STAAD, which we use here for verification of results. 5. Beta Testers:- For a list of the authors comments and for a template to use for your own feedback, please see the attached Word.doc. 6. The Program is also available on 'CD' which will allow multiple copies to be installed, this is available at a cost of £10- including UK postage. Overseas email for a quote.
