Here is your chance to meet 'Fib' and 'Archie,' two
likeable but unpredictable characters! Your quest is to
find find the 'Cup of Mathematical Knowledge,' by
answering 'on screen' mental arithmetic questions. As
well as having to answer these questions, you must also
find your way out of a series of mazes, collecting all
sorts of useful items as you go. When playing the game,
BE WARNED, 'Fib' and 'Archie' will be doing their best
to stop you getting on!
Apart from the four rules of number, the software
includes options to help with telling the time, counting
money and reading simple co-ordinates. You are able to
set the level of difficulty from 'very easy' though to
'very challenging' and you can choose to have all or any
of the options active.
During testing, we used the software with children in an
age range of 4 to 15 and saw a marked improvement at all
levels. This program is suitable for home use as well as
at school.
