All carers should have full opportunities and choices to improve their quality of life, be respected and included as equal members of society
.

The Carers Partnership included carers, commissioners, health and social care managers, and carers agencies.  The partnership lead on the development and implementation of the Carers Strategy; reviewed services and performance, prioritised improvements and developments; monitored the Carers Grant and oversaw the commissioning programme.

The Partnership worked towards breaking down the barriers and problems that prevent carers from living a full life.
